Parachute Team

Parachute TeamParachuting, also known as skydiving, is the act of leaving the plane and returned to earth by parachute. It can not cause a certain level of free fall, when the parachute is not used and the body is gradually accelerated to Terminal Velocity.

The history of skydiving began with Andre-Jacques Garnerin a successful parachute jumps from hot air balloon in 1797. The military developed parachuting technology as a way to save the emergency balloon pilots from ships and aircraft in flight, later as a way to provide troops to the battlefield. Early competitions date back to the 1930s, and became an international sport in 1952.

Skydiving is designed as a recreational activity and competitive sport, but also for the deployment of military personnel Airborne forces and occasionally forest firefighters.

A drop zone at airport sky diving operators operate one or more planes that take groups of skydivers for a fee. A jumper individuals can go to a light aircraft such as Cessna C-172 or C-182. In the busy drop zone (DZ), larger aircraft can be used, such as Caravan, Cessna C208 aircraft De Havilland Twin Otter or Skyvan DHC6 short.

Alpin Haus Marine Injury help to RasIn 2005, Ryan was injured while in Iraq and is now confined to a wheelchair, the result of severe head injury, that normal communications disrupted brain to the muscles in his legs, left arm and elsewhere. Despite these obstacles, he will participate in his first marathon, the route traveled in a specially equipped bicycle wheel, while the cart is driven by the "legs" - former Marine Staff Sgt. Bryan Purcell.

Because of Sgt. Ryan's physical condition, special travel arrangements necessary to transport him from his family home in Ellenville, NY, to Washington, DC He can not fly or drive a car or a vehicle modified and must travel with two medical assistants. A traveling wheelchair, a conventional wheelchair, cycle racing, and many other issues must also be included.

After learning of his problems the way, individuals and companies affiliated with the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) stepped in to assist the safe passage Ryan for control. FMCA is an international organization of RV owners / enthusiasts and commercial companies that are members of the RV lifestyle to support.

Alpin Haus RV Amsterdam, NY, an FMCA commercial member, donated the use of Knight's 40-foot Monaco motor for Ryan's trip to Washington. Diesel-powered RVs have all the comforts of home and includes three slide outs to increase the interior when parked. Adirondack Trailways, based in New York, donated the use of 45-foot buses, which are accessible to wheelchair passengers that Ryan's family and supporters will bring to Washington, serving as a transport in the city for Ryan during the race.

As one participant marathon 30,000, Ryan will compete in class wheelchair, pushed by a group of supporters known as Team 413 (413 indicates the number is "alive day," April 13, 2005, when he suffered injuries in Iraq). He will operate from the cycle of the control arms to propel themselves forward while running mate Purcell pushed from behind.

Personal guide, your instructor and a combined output of at least 10,000 meters for the 14 levels of education. Each jump is considered "learning rate", the performance objective function for you to achieve. Practice basic skills freefall jumps and develop a "sense of free fall", and the instructor wear a helmet on every video that jumps AFP. At about 4000 meters, you turn on your parachute and begin descent four minutes. Instructors will monitor the descent ground via radio. When you graduate to the next level of learning, instructor you an overview of the lesson plan and explains the new destination. After completing this course you will USPA license qualified and able to jump for only $ 17 (no equipment rental). For members, the AFP jumped 1-3 are $ 140 each, 4-10 is $ 120 each, 11 to 14 are $ 110 each, and # 15 is $ 40.
